This ambitious project showcased our ability to overcome extreme site restrictions in a dense urban environment. Located on a tight commercial street in Central London, the site presented numerous logistical and engineering challenges. From strategic delivery planning to working within height and boundary limitations, we executed this double basement and RC frame scheme with precision, innovation, and technical excellence.
- Bulk excavation of a double basement to 12 metres below ground level across a 1000m² footprint
- Sequential install and removal of double-layer temporary propping systems including RHS props, RSJ whalers and concrete thrust blocks
- Underpinning and cantilever capping beam construction to retained five-storey façade
- Installation of six sumps with complete foul, storm and delta drainage systems
- Watertight RC works using Pudlo for lower basement, mezzanine, lower ground and ground floor slabs
- Construction of five-storey reinforced concrete frame with roof slab
