Key Duties & Full Role Description:

• Work to maintain health and safety awareness at all levels within the organisation to an exceptional standard and ensure that all sites always maintain safe working practices.
• Manage the provision of labour and plant across live projects
• Working alongside the commercial team on live projects and ongoing tenders.
• Compiling method statements and risk assessments for new works and reviewing sub–contractor’s method statements for upcoming works.
• To maintain client relations including the attendance of site meetings to grow and maintain new and existing relationships.
• To produce and review programmes for projects.
• Communicating with the commercial team to track progress to allow monies to be claimed

Person Specification:

• At least 3 years’ experience in contracts management of Groundworks and RC Frame projects.
• Excellent communication skills and an ability to communicate with people at all levels within the organisation.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Self-motivated and with a high level of professionalism.
• The ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks at the same time.
• Be able to work efficiently in a team as well on their own.

Experience / Licenses:

• Contract Management: 3 years (Required)

• Manage the day to day running of site including subcontractors, direct labour, and materials.
• Supplying information to resolve any on site issues.
• Liaising with the H&S team to keep the H&S standards up to par
• Monitoring and maintaining of quality of work
• Provide site feedback to allow monthly project reporting

• At least 2 years experience in site management of Groundworks and RC Frame projects.

Scheduling and coordinating ground works on site

REPORTING TO

Site Manager

• Ensure works are being carried out as per RAMS / in a safe manner
• Carrying out and recording site inspections
• Conduct and amend risk assessments and deliver tool box talks
• Lead by example for others on site
• Track and document daily work productions
• Organize and monitor the work of other subcontractors on site

• At least 2 years experience of being a groundwork’s foreman.

• Proficient in MS Office and digitally competent.

• Supply chain management and payment to ensure programme is maintained and buying opportunities are maximised.
• Assist Estimating and Operations with developing bid submissions.
• Procurement of resources to meet programme and ideally tender.
• Forecasting and cost/value reporting

• At least 3 years of experience in Quantity Surveying with a Higher level qualification in Quantity Surveying

• Preparation of tenders submission
• Measuring and producing quantity Take-offs from drawings
• Producing Bill of quantities
• Sourcing pre-project information
• Site visits for pricing purposes
• Acquiring supplier quotes

Person Specification:

• Excellent communication skills and an ability to communicate with people at all levels within the organisation.
• Proficient in MS Office especially Excel and digitally competent.
• Self-motivated and with a high level of professionalism.
• The ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks at the same time.
• Be able to work efficiently in a team as well on their own with minimum supervision.

Experience / Licenses:

• Experience in RC Basements and Frames, Groundworks, Civil Engineering and Hard Landscaping for the Commercial, Residential, Industrial and Retail sectors. (Required)
• At least 5 years of experience in Quantity Surveying/Estimating without a Higher level qualification in Quantity Surveying
• At least 3 years of experience in Quantity Surveying/Estimating with a Higher level qualification in Quantity Surveying
